City of Lights and the Home of Love..

Known as the fashion capital of the world, Paris is a city that is acknowledged for constantly reinventing itself. With its grand museums, amazing food and love for the finest things on earth, its no wonder a wonder fundamentally. While traveling to Paris this past month, I wanted to see its other definitions, on why its called the city of lights and why also dubbed the home of love. I realized that the magic of the lights and the feeling of love all happen at a specific time of day, the evening hours. I know your probably thinking of the cliche accordion French guy playing music to, two French lovers who are about to enjoy a meal, which is kinda true, but the real love is the passion that Parisians have for their culture. The city of Paris emanates with love ,of course, but the love of heritage, tradition, history and pride that can only be experienced than explained. The lights that you witness are not only from the Eiffel Tower at night, but in peoples eyes as you interact with them. Paris made me realize to stop looking the obvious things that its’ stereotypically known for and look within the adjectives that describe the city. I understood that love and lights are all up for interpretation and its what you define it. To some, light is understood by knowledge, to others, light is experienced as a feeling. Love can be described as desire and also comfort. Paris showed me why its called the city of lights and love, because it is there where I experienced a new found of understanding, and a place that created a fresh revelation of the meaning of love, which is comfort.
